Update #400 probs.

Hey Guys!

It is the first Monday of my summer and overall it was quite boring. I wanted to apologize for not posting too much. I have been so busy with classes and what not that I honestly just forgot about this blog (tragic, I know.) Anyway, I will posting a lot more! I’m also really interested in maybe writing a play, or co-writing a play with someone. I know  it might sound weird.  I have just been thinking about it a lot lately and I think it would be a lot of fun. I’m obsessed with musicals and Broadway plays in general so I think it would be cool to write one. Even if it was just for fun! So if anyone is interested contact me!

Love always,

Kate

Another Update

Hey guys!

So, do you guys like the way everything is set up? Do you like the poems and the occasional picture?  I hope so!

Today, I ordered three books from the library so there will be more book reviews. I’m not sure if I’m going to keep the yoga tag. I’m still practicing yoga on the daily, I just never remember to update it! So let me know if you guys think I should keep it or not! I am keeping my Good Reads account up to date, so you can look at that on my Homepage!

I really hope you are all enjoying my poems! It took a lot to convince myself to start posting them! Haha.

Also, I am going to try to post on everyday expect Sunday. I always have a million things going on Sundays with Church and family stuff. I know I can just schedule it but I always forget. So yeah! Let me know if I should add another Category, maybe a daily life tag or something. I don’t know!

I’ll keep updating you guys on these things! I hope you all have a great week!

Love,

Kate.

P.S: Thank you for ten followers! I know it’s not a lot but it really does mean a lot to me! You guys are the best!

Holding Up The Universe + general update

Hey Guys!

So, I’m going to be real with all of you. I was going to write a “b.s.” summary and ending to Holding Up The Universe, but truth is I really couldn’t read it. I just couldn’t get into it. I did mark it as read on my Good Reads, just so that it would be off my “currently reading” list. Should I give it another chance? I know it had good reviews and if you guys really want me to read I will of course, try again! So just let me know! 🙂

However, I’m planning to start reading a few more books. I just added a few more to my Good Reads “To-read”.

The first on I really want to read is “A Tear and A Smile.” Which is a book of poems. Maybe I can find some more inspiration to write my own!

The second is “Hamilton:  The Revolution” Because I just became completely obsessed with the musical. (I know, I know. I’m very late)

The final one is “Jane Steele.” Which is a Gothic retelling of one of my favorite classics “Jane Eyre!”

So yeah! If you guys have anymore that you think I would like or that you have recently read let me know!  Also How many of you are obsessing over the new Ed Sheeran album?!

Love,

Kate

Holding Up the Universe pt.1

Hey Guys!

So today I started Holding Up the Universe, and I decided that I was going to update you as I read, Instead of just overwhelming you with information all at once!

Usually, I don’t read books that are constantly switching between two characters. I don’t know why but for some reason they just bother me. However, I loved All the Bright Places and so I knew I had to give this one a chance! Honestly I am only one or two pages in and it hasn’t really caught my attention like All the Bright Places did, but I told myself I was going to finish this book.

It has glowing reviews on Good Reads, which is also another reason that I need to just tough out the beginning. I probably won’t write another review of the book until I finish it. It took me a day to read All the Bright places, but I was also on break when I read it and I didn’t have any school work to deal with. I’m also going on a trip in a few days, so I don’t have as much time to read. This book has very high expectations from me and  I really hope that it meets them!

Do you guys have any recommendations for book I should read? Comment below or follow me on Good Reads so I can look at your bookshelves!

Love,

Kate

Life Update

Hey Guys!

So I realized it has been a while since I just wrote about myself and things happening in my life. So, tomorrow night I am  leaving to go on a trip! I’m super excited and I can’t wait to see everyone and do all the typical tourist things. I will be gone all weekend, but I schedules a bunch of posts so that you guys won’t miss anything. I mostly just schedules a bunch more of my pictures. I really hope you guys like them!

Also, Monday is my birthday! I just found out that my parents bought me an amazing camera, so I can finally stop taking pictures with my crappy iPhone camera. So I ‘m super pumped for you guys to see those. It’s supposed to come tomorrow morning, so I will be able to take it on my trip with me!

I hope you all have a safe and fun weekend! And I can’t wait to share all my stories and pictures with you from this trip!

Love,

Kate

Everything Everything

Hey!

A few days ago I went to the library and picked up three books; Everything Everything, All The Bright places. and The Sun is also a Star. It took me three days to finish all of these books and it was amazing. They were all kind of similar but also completely different at the same time. If you’re interested in All The Bright places, I have a review up on my page already! Now, onto Everything Everything.

Okay, Listen. It’s usually not very hard to keep me interested in a book, and I hardly ever give a three or four star rating on Good Reads, but this book received a four. now hear me out. The beginning was amazing, the middle was great, the plot twist I would never even would have expected. It was good, crazy good, and then the end. It just ended. That’s it. No big cute reunion, no looking forward to the rest of her life it just ended. Like WHAT?! It was almost as if the author, Nicola Yoon, was just tired of writing the book and ended it.

Overall, I would recommend you read this one for yourself. You could really like the ending, I guess it’s just the hopeless romantic in me that is always expecting more.

Love,

Kate

Good Reads!

Hey Guys!

So today, I decided to link my Good Reads account to my homepage! So  if you guys would like to know exactly what I’m reading when I’m reading it you will have the chance! Maybe we can start a book club and read some books together in the future!

As Always if you have any questions let me know!

Love,

Kate

All The Bright Places

IMG_0372.JPG

Hey Guys!

Yesterday I went to the library and I randomly picked up a book called “All The Bright Places.” This book really changed my life. I read the whole thing in one day, because I honestly could not put it down. I know that is something everyone always says but really. Even when I wasn’t reading it I was thinking about it.

I picked up the book around 12, and I read the whole book by 5 pm. It was wonderful and I really don’t  think I have ever cried so hard while reading a book.

This book revolves around two main characters that aren’t alike in anyway. They are named Violet and Finch. Finch is a very troubled character who often thinks about death and suicide. Violet is a popular kind of girl whose whole life was turned upside down when her sister died. Violet learns to love and live from a boy who wants to die. A lot of people said this book is similar to “The Fault In Our Stars.” Which I honestly would not have thought that until I read another review about it. I think All the Bright Places is very much it’s own book with it’s own plot and it’s own amazing story. I recommend that everyone go out and find this book! I promise you won’t regret it!

Do you have any books that you think I should read? Email/Comment and let me know! 🙂 I also have a GoodReads account if you guys want to follow me there and keep getting updates on what I’m reading!

Much Love,

Kate
